Santa Ana Winds Rip Through San Diego Area, Causing Numerous Wildfires

  At least one person has been killed and Santa Ana winds whipped more than a dozen wildfires in
Southern California, destroying several landmarks. The fatality occurred in
San Diego
County in one of a series of wildfires that burned from Santa Barbara to the

Actress Hunter Tylo’s son dead at 19

Bold and the Beautiful’ actress Hunter Tylo’s 19-year-old son died last night after drowning.

Clark
County police received a call at 10:18 PM reporting a dead male in a pool. The Clark County Coroner says Michael Tylo, Jr. was pronounced dead at 11:55 P.M. after drowning in the family swimming pool.  Click here to read full story

Lucky Dube, Reggae Legend, Murdered in Hijacking

Reggae legend Lucky Dube was murdered in
Johannesburg, South Africa on Thursday evening when he was attacked by a group of hijackers who shot the prolific 43-year-old artist responsible for 21 albums during a 25 year period.

College President Apologizes For Facebook Pictures

Janet Dudley-Eshbach, the president of Salisbury University in Maryland, spent yesterday apologizing for two photographs and captions she had on the social-networking Web site, Facebook.

One of the pictures showed her brandishing a stick before a Mexican man with a caption saying she had to “beat off the Mexicans because they were constantly flirting with my daughter.” The other photo of a male tapir, a pig-like animal, commented on the animal’s ample genitalia.  Click here to read full story
